Once upon a time, Wonderful Beer Wife signed up for a class with some yoga heavyweight (the yoga world’s version of the beer world’s Sam or Garrett, I suppose).
This provided a two-hour excuse for Wilson to visit Upstream Brewing Company‘s Legacy location. He took along a little beery research and collected his thoughts. He drank alone at the bar and tuned out yuppies from a wedding party.
He tossed back a delightful schwarzbier, a pair of saison siblings and a Scotch ale. He wasn’t disappointed in any of the beers. He contemplated the words of Hans Christian Anderson as he sipped away:
“Just living is not enough. One must have sunshine, freedom and a little flower.”
Like a good wife, good beer is a kind of sunshine. Wilson finished the last drop of his peat-alicious Scotch ale, shook the debris of the yuppies aside and put on his shades. It was time to pick up his other sunshine and sup upon some Indian food.
Home again, home again, jiggity jig. They lived happily ever after.
