When this popped up in a Google Alert, I thought, Oh, wonderful! A Girl’s Guide to Beer! Someone’s put together a tasting to sift through beers with their female friends. I wonder how their results compare to when I put together a similar project last year?
The short answer is: not so very similar. Our tastings were different from the start. However, like mine, Belgian Wit was a popular beer. Here (cringe) are the other beers involved:
Bud Light, Coors Light, Amstel Light, Corona, Sol, Tecate, Heineken, Stella, Grolsch, Hoegarden, Leffe, Wittekirke, Sierra Nevada [pale ale], Starr Hill [pale ale], Saranac [pale ale], Red Stripe, Dos Equis Lager and Negro Modelo.
No intent to take anything away from Hoegarden and Sierra Nevada, and I’m glad she had them in the mix.
